story in a photo #2

I absorb landscapes and emotions. never muddy, never foggy around here. oh no darling, I am magical.

some call me names. they call me egotistical, even evil. how dare they? what of the evil they do to themselves or their own kind?

some call me selfish (as if). that all I do is take, and take, and take. creeks and streams, ghosts and dreams. yes, no doubt about it, I keep them all. but it’s a fair exchange I think.

go ahead and lay your eyes on my shimmering complexion, as you take your own reflection. you’re welcome.

you pose in front of me with all your devices, in all different angles. what do you hope to gain? are you trying to take a piece of my beauty with you? are you hoping some of my majestic qualities rub off on you? how silly. only a few truly know. only a few have unlocked the secret of capturing my beauty…

foolish mortal beings. if you listen close enough, you’d hear me speak. truly speak. search beyond its sparkling exterior.

come closer.

take a deeper look.

come closer,

if you dare.
